All my asumptions were based on the sequence of events that I thought you said you did (clutch - shift - clutch out - brake). If you started braking first, then you decreased your stopping distance by doing the clutch work. But one of the the points I wanted to make, that ZLover hit on also, is that it is incredibly bad for your tranny. And the second point was that if other folks don't do this regurarly and have the timing down, please don't try this the next time they're in the same situation. They'll most likely end up screwing around with the shifting and not braking to the max extent possible. Which might be bad for their Z... Cheers, Jason
